Peacock is having a sale for new customers in September. As part of “a special Fall celebratory offer,” the rate for a Premium plan will be reduced from $4.99 a month to “just $1.99 a month,” or $19.99 for the year. Premium subscribers see up to 5 minutes of ads per hour and can stream news and first-run entertainment content next-day. Peacock also offers an ad-free Premium Plus plan for $9.99 per month and a free Basic plan that has ads but no next-day streaming. September will also be the month Peacock adds current NBC and Bravo shows for next-day streaming.

Among the current series that will stream new episodes exclusively on Peacock beginning September 19 are the “Law & Order” and “One Chicago” franchises, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The Voice.”

“Adding further value to a Peacock Premium account is the fact that the long-running soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives’ will stream exclusively on the service beginning Monday, September 12, ending its 57-year run on NBC,” writes Yahoo.

NBCUniversal had previously licensed a substantial chunk of streaming rights to Hulu (which is majority owned by Disney, with NBCUniversal holding a 33 percent stake). Hulu will continue to offer some of NBCU’s older shows.

“In addition to all next-day programming from NBC and Bravo, Peacock customers have access to more than 70,000 hours of original, current and classic movies and TV shows, as well as live sports, news and events,” reports Variety, which lists “fan favorites like ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘The Office’” among its offerings.

Peacock will introduce new original series this fall in addition to hit movies such as “Jurassic World Dominion” and “Minions: The Rise of Gru.” Peacock also has a slice of some premium sports franchises, including “Sunday Night Football,” “Big Ten Saturday Night” college football, “MLB Sunday Leadoff” and soccer’s “Premiere League.”
