Prime Now Delivery Service Expands to Baltimore and Miami

Amazon’s Prime Now one-hour delivery service, which launched last year in Manhattan as a benefit to Prime members and recently expanded to more New York neighborhoods, is now available in select areas of Baltimore and Miami. From 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, seven days a week, the service offers free two-hour delivery, and one-hour delivery in select zip codes for a $7.99 charge. Prime members interested in the ultrafast delivery service can download the Prime Now app, available for iOS and Android.

Users who download the app will be notified when the service becomes available in their area.

The Prime Now service “will expand rapidly to additional zip codes within each city soon,” notes the press release. And it “will continue rolling out to additional cities in 2015.”

“Customers in Manhattan and Brooklyn love Prime Now — it means you can skip a trip to the store and get the items you need delivered right to your door in under an hour,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s SVP of worldwide operations. “Since launching, we’ve seen high demand on everything from essentials like water and paper towels to more surprising deliveries like getting a customer a hard-to-find, top-selling toy in 23 minutes — we are excited to continue delivering to customers in record-breaking time.”
