Meta Boosts AI Ad Tools: Adds Brand Chatbots, Creator APIs

Meta Platforms is launching new AI features including Business AI, a new sales concierge service that aims to guide customers “from discovery to purchase” with AI-powered messaging agents appearing on Meta ads, threads and your company’s website. Meta is launching the Meta AI business assistant, an AI chat experience that will help optimize campaign targeting and resolve account issues, via Ads Manager and Business Support Home. There are also new generative video tools and expanded access to Meta’s creator discovery APIs to matchmake businesses with influencers and other grassroots partners. The news was shared as marketers convene for Advertising Week New York.

Meta’s Business AI offering “will enable any business to create their own dedicated AI agent for their website, powered by Meta’s evolving AI tools,” explains Social Media Today. Like any customer service rep worth their salt, the custom chatbot “will be able to answer questions about products, assist with custom options, and drive sales.”

Meta is also putting emphasis on its Meta AI business assistant, a supply-side resource that builds on the opportunity score concept introduced earlier this year. Meta AI business assistant will be available to select small businesses this year, with expanded availability in 2026.

Meta is also exploring “new ways to turn organic creator content into paid ads” and fine-tuning and expanding “AI-powered tools to help with creator discovery,” according to Marketing Dive, which details generative music and dubbing tools designed to enhance ads as well as “a persona-based image generation feature that creates different versions of an ad, each designed to cater to a specific audience.”

There is also a new Facebook creator API that allows brands to search a creator database using keywords. And Meta is expanding access to the Instagram Creator Marketplace API.

Meta will soon begin serving users ads and content based on their interactions with the company’s AI chatbot and generative AI, reports CNBC, noting the new recommendation system goes into effect December 16.

Meta provides generative AI capabilities to users via the Meta AI digital assistant, “bundled across its apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger,” says CNBC. It is “also available as a stand-alone app and website.”

“The Meta AI digital assistant now has more than 1 billion active monthly users,” CNBC reports, adding that Meta AI reportedly hit the 1 billion monthly active users mark in May.
