Anthropic continues to close major deals as it reportedly moves toward an IPO, possibly coming as soon as Q1 (although Sasha de Marigny, the company’s chief communications officer, said there are no immediate plans to go public). The Amazon-funded AI startup’s latest contract provides its Claude models to cloud software firm Snowflake in a $200 million multiyear deal. Snowflake’s AI agents will use Claude to help businesses handle complex data analysis. As for the IPO, Financial Times reports Anthropic is working with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati — a law firm whose CV includes IPOs for Google, LinkedIn and Lyft — and may be in a race with OpenAI to see who can be first to offer its shares publicly. Google announced the availability of Gemini 3 for select subscribers, with a broader release planned for the coming weeks. The tech giant’s latest AI model will be available via the Gemini app, AI Mode and AI Overviews search tools, and Google’s enterprise products. The model arrives nearly eight months after the launch of Gemini 2.5 as the company looks to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. According to CEO Sundar Pichai, Gemini 3 is the company’s “most intelligent model, that combines all of Gemini’s capabilities together so you can bring any idea to life.” Pichai also announced the Google Antigravity agent platform, that enables developers to code “at a higher, task-oriented level.” Continue reading Google Making AI Search and Coding Smarter with Gemini 3

In his keynote address at CES 2017, Under Armour founder/chief executive Kevin Plank had a long wind-up to the afternoon’s highlight: multiple gold-medal Olympian Michael Phelps on stage, encouraging everyone in the auditorium to get up and “Jump Around” to the infectious beat of the House of Pain anthem. Phelps was doing more than dancing. All it takes is six jumps for him to activate his brand new Under Armour shoes, connected to the company’s MyFitnessPal app as of February 1.
