Samsung Offers Microsoft Copilot via Premium TVs, Monitors
September 8, 2025
Samsung is integrating Microsoft Copilot with its 2025 lineup of AI-powered TVs and monitors. Copilot can be accessed through the Samsung Tizen OS, the Samsung Daily+ lifestyle hub and Click to Search, enabling conversational AI support for personalized recommendations, searches, interactive learning and other experiences. The South Korean manufacturer’s high-end hardware already has Samsung Vision AI, and the AI-assisted Click to Search and Bixby voice assistant. Copilot joins the mix, appearing on the home screen app menu. Once selected, Copilot appears as an animated emoji that reacts with simple expressions and lip movements.
In a blog post, Microsoft describes the anthropomorphized Copilot as a “friendly” presence that provides “a visible reminder that your companion is listening, thinking and responding.”
Besides helping to find things to watch, the Copilot TV app can do things like provide “spoiler-free recaps” that let you refresh on series, apply specific filters like “find me something like ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ but centered on cooking instead of chess,” deep-diving to find information and even “everyday help” like planning activities.
“With Copilot built into the display, users can access Microsoft’s powerful AI companion through a simple voice command or click of the remote,” notes Samsung’s press release.
Initial availability will be on the Micro RGB, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame Pro and The Frame TVs and the M7, M8 and M9 Smart Monitors, according to Android Police.
Copilot will be integrated with those models “in the U.S. and select other markets and eventually expanded to more models and regions,” CNET reports.
Microsoft says the models will automatically update to add Copilot where available, and that while sign-in won’t be necessary, it will unlock features like personalization and memory.
TechRadar adds, “there’s no word yet on whether this will come to older TVs as part of Samsung’s commitment to seven years of software updates for its TVs.”
