Adobe Launches Its Content Authenticity App in Public Beta

Adobe has released its free Content Authenticity web app in beta. The app is designed to help protect creators’ work and allows them to embed a request that generative AI models don’t use their work for training. Users can apply tags for up to 50 images at once. In addition to applying tags, users can customize and inspect Adobe Content Credentials using the the Adobe Content Authenticity browser extension for Google Chrome. The information is invisible until the inspection tool is opened and can include links to a creator’s social media account, website or other identifying attributes. Adobe Unveils Two New Image Models and Array of Products

News from Adobe MAX London 2025 spanned new Firefly image models to a refreshed web app that includes third-party image generators, an AI agent that automates Photoshop, an updated Firefly mobile app coming soon to iOS and Android, and the Firefly Video model in general release. The latest release of Firefly “unifies AI-powered tools for image, video, audio, and vector generation into a single, cohesive platform and introduces many new capabilities,” according to Adobe, which says that since its debut nearly two years ago, creatives have used Firefly to generate more than 22 billion assets worldwide. Roku Teams Up with Adobe on a Real-Time Ad Data Platform

Roku is partnering with Adobe to integrate its Roku Data Cloud with Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (CDP) for a new real-time advertising data platform. The idea is to allow advertisers to access more in-depth insights that can potentially be used to launch “more personalized and performant advertising” while prioritizing privacy, according to Roku. “This integration will unlock the opportunity for traditional performance marketers — like search and social buyers — to plan, activate, and measure campaigns on Roku,” said Miles Fisher, the streamer’s senior director of strategic advertising partnerships. Adobe Investment in Synthesia Could Fuel AI Video Production

Adobe has taken a stake in business avatar firm Synthesia, which creates clones for corporate videos using generative AI. The investment of an undisclosed sum through Adobe Ventures was interpreted by one media outlet as a bet that the UK startup’s technology “will transform video production.” Adobe couched the move as a strategic alliance. The investment became public along with Synthesia’s announcement that it surpassed the $100 million mark for what the privately held company says qualifies as recurring annual revenue. Adobe introduced new versions of Premiere Pro and After Effects at the 2025 NAB Show. For the first time, Adobe’s Premiere Pro editing software gets Firefly generative AI powers. Generative Extend lets users elongate scenes by generating a few extra frames at 4K in the Premiere Pro app, which also gains New Media Intelligence to help find the right clip in seconds. There is also drag-and-drop color management and automatic caption translation to over 27 languages. Adobe Introduces a Powerful, Free Photoshop App for Mobile

Adobe Firefly Video Now in Public Beta Starting at $10 Month

Adobe’s Firefly video is now in public beta as part of Firefly AI, now multi-modal with video, image and vector generation. Available for $10 for Firefly Standard or $30 for Firefly Pro, the Firefly app offers additional tiers for premium video and audio features, offering a degree of customization based on project needs. Adobe has added intelligent contract capabilities to the Acrobat AI Assistant, which can now help interpret agreements for businesses and consumers. Adobe’s smart contract reader can help people understand those lengthy click-to-agree terms of service treatises that precede vendor websites and service agreements. “Customers open billions of contracts in Adobe Acrobat each month and AI can be a game changer in helping simplify their experience,” Adobe Document Cloud SVP Abhigyan Modi said in an announcement. Cloudflare Joins CAI, Adds C2PA Image Authenticity Protocol

Cloudflare is making it easier to assess the authenticity of online images by adopting the Content Credentials system advanced by Adobe and embraced by many others. Images hosted using Cloudflare now integrate Content Credentials, ensuring metadata remains intact. The platform tracks ownership and subsequent modifications, including whether artificial intelligence was used to edit the images. With touchpoints to an estimated 20 percent of Internet traffic, connectivity firm Cloudflare substantively expands the reach of the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), founded in 2019. Deloitte Consulting Chief Technology Officer Bill Briggs opened a CES panel discussion on Tech Trends 2025 with the declaration that, “the pace of change in technical has never been faster and the magnitude has never been greater.” “How do we translate that into the investments we need to be making and how we think about products and customer experiences?” he asked. Asteria and Moonvalley Team Up on Ethical AI for Hollywood

Artist-led generative AI film and animation studio Asteria has joined with AI research startup Moonvalley to create Marey, “the entertainment industry’s first clean foundational AI model.” Trained exclusively on “ethically sourced data” owned by Asteria, Marey is named after the French physiologist who helped put the “motion” in motion pictures, Étienne-Jules Marey. Asteria says Marey is being trained for a 2025 debut targeting major Hollywood productions with a pitch that says it has not and will not rely on scraped data, something Big Tech competitors have taken heat on. Lightricks LTX Video Model Impresses with Speed and Motion

Lightricks has released an AI model called LTX Video (LTXV) it says generates five seconds of 768 x 512 resolution video (121 frames) in just four seconds, outputting in less time than it takes to watch. The model can run on consumer-grade hardware and is open source, positioning Lightricks as a mass market challenger to firms like Adobe, OpenAI, Google and their proprietary systems. “It’s time for an open-sourced video model that the global academic and developer community can build on and help shape the future of AI video,” Lightricks co-founder and CEO Zeev Farbman said. Apple Final Cut Pro 11 Adds AI Features Powered by M Chips

After more than a decade, Apple has released Final Cut Pro 11, its first major update to the non-linear editing app. New features include AI-powered masking, spatial video editing for projects destined for the Apple Vision Pro and the ability to generate captions directly in the timeline, as well as some general workflow improvements. Final Cut Pro 11 is free for current users while newbies will pay $299 for a one-time purchase. Improvements have also been made to Final Cut Pro for iPad and Final Cut Camera, adding new creative options across Mac, iPad and iPhone. Adobe Promos AI in Premiere Pro, ‘Generate Video’ and More

Adobe has launched a public beta of its Generate Video app, part of the Firefly Video model, which users can try for free on a dedicated website. Login is required, and there is still a waitlist for unfettered access, but the Web app facilitates up to five seconds of video generation using text and image prompts. It can turn 2D pictures into 3D animation and is also capable of producing video with dynamic text.  The company has also added an AI feature called “Extend Video” to Premiere Pro to lengthen existing footage by two seconds.
