AWS Frontier Agents Can Work for Days Without Human Help

AI agents that can work for days on end without human direction and new Nova 2 models were the big announcements on day two of AWS re:Invent, where Amazon also introduced Nova Forge, a service that lets companies build their own models. The autonomous agents include Kiro for software development, the AWS Security Agent to protect against cyber threats and the AWS DevOps Agent, which monitors and improves the performance of applications across AWS, multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Amazon explains they are part of a new class of “frontier agents” that are autonomous, can operate for hours or days without requiring intervention, and are scalable. Google Making AI Search and Coding Smarter with Gemini 3

Google announced the availability of Gemini 3 for select subscribers, with a broader release planned for the coming weeks. The tech giant’s latest AI model will be available via the Gemini app, AI Mode and AI Overviews search tools, and Google’s enterprise products. The model arrives nearly eight months after the launch of Gemini 2.5 as the company looks to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. According to CEO Sundar Pichai, Gemini 3 is the company’s “most intelligent model, that combines all of Gemini’s capabilities together so you can bring any idea to life.” Pichai also announced the Google Antigravity agent platform, that enables developers to code “at a higher, task-oriented level.” Continue reading Google Making AI Search and Coding Smarter with Gemini 3

OpenAI Aardvark Agentic GPT-5 Security Tool in Private Beta

OpenAI’s new Aardvark agentic security researcher powered by GPT‑5 is an autonomous agent that aims to help developers and security teams find and fix security vulnerabilities at scale. Aardvark is now in private beta as the company refines its capabilities in the field. “Each year, tens of thousands of new vulnerabilities are discovered across enterprise and open-source codebases,” making software security one of the most critical aspects of doing business, says OpenAI, explaining that Aardvark “continuously monitors and analyzes source code to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities and propose fixes.” Continue reading OpenAI Aardvark Agentic GPT-5 Security Tool in Private Beta

Google Revamps AI Studio with Vibe Coding, Maps Integration

Google has made upgrades to its AI Studio development platform, adding a vibe code interface with buttons and retooling the AI Playground as a central hub for the company’s latest AI models. According to Google, users can now easily switch between Gemini, GenMedia (with new Veo 3.1), text-to-speech (TTS) and Live models, “all without losing your place or switching tabs,” while the Chat UI has been conformed more with typical interfaces. The updates allow users to more easily “go from prompt to image to video to voiceover in one continuous flow.”

AWS Kiro Agentic AI Developer Tool Now Free During Preview

AWS has released a new AI coding tool called Kiro in preview. This IDE for agent apps is described by some as a vibe coding platform. However, AWS says Kiro “goes way beyond,” getting prototypes into production systems with features such as specs and hooks. In fact, Kiro was designed specifically to reduce issues common to vibe coding, the process of creating software using AI agents reacting to natural language prompts. This makes it popular among non-coders, resulting in an often chaotic process that Kiro attempts to professionalize. Available for free during preview, Kiro supports most popular programming languages. Continue reading AWS Kiro Agentic AI Developer Tool Now Free During Preview

Anthropic’s Claude Chatbot Is Now a No-Code App Developer

Anthropic has updated its Claude AI chatbot with the ability to build, host and share AI-powered apps directly in Claude. Launching in beta, the new function builds upon the Artifacts feature Anthropic introduced last year, allowing users to see and interact with what they asked Claude to create. “Now developers can iterate faster on their AI apps without worrying about the complexity and cost of scaling for a growing audience,” according to Anthropic. The San Francisco-based AI startup adds that millions people have already used Claude to create more than 500 million artifacts — from productivity tools to educational games. Zencoder Testing Agent Shaves Weeks Off App Development

Startup Zencoder (formerly For Good AI) has launched a cloud-based AI-powered E2E testing agent that simplifies the pipeline from initial code to production-ready applications. Now in public beta, Zentester tackles “verification,” which Zencoder founder and CEO Andrew Filev calls “the missing link” in scaling AI-created code from concept to market-ready app. That complicated process is often delayed by a bottleneck in final testing. Zentester is designed to take that late-stage verification process “from days to hours,” Filev says. Zentester has the typical agent superpowers — seeing and interacting as users do by clicking buttons, filling in forms and navigating workflows.
