Amazon Web Services is building-out its programmatic ad offerings with AWS RTB Fabric, designed to optimize the high-speed, high-volume real-time bidding (RTB) auctions that power programmatic advertising for Amazon Ads and the company’s AdTech partners. The product has been in beta testing with select partners for months and now becomes “generally available,” deployed from North Virginia and Oregon in the U.S. East and West, and Singapore, Tokyo, Germany and Ireland, serving nearby areas with what AWS says is “single-digit millisecond latency” through a private, high-performance network. Smart Glasses Use AI to Help Amazon Drivers with Deliveries

Amazon has developed smart glasses to help its delivery drivers navigate the world more efficiently, improving navigation, identifying hazards and having instant access to cargo data. The wearable was “designed and optimized with input from hundreds of Delivery Associates (DAs), drivers who work for Delivery Service Partners (DSPs)” and use “advanced computer vision processing and AI integration for seamless driver experiences,” according to Amazon. The eyewear helps DAs scan packages, follow turn-by-turn walking directions and capture proof of delivery — all without the help of a phone, creating a hands-free documentation experience. Netflix Taps Amazon DSP for Programmatic Advertising Sales

Amazon Ads and Netflix have partnered to provide advertisers direct access to Netflix’s premium ad inventory via Amazon DSP. Beginning in Q4, marketers using Amazon DSP in the U.S., UK, France, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Italy, Germany and Australia, will be able to purchase programmatic ad inventory from Netflix using the e-retailer’s demand-side platform. In June, Amazon and Disney did a similar deal and Netflix partnered with Yahoo DSP. Netflix has expanded outreach to Madison Avenue through its own internal ad-tech platform, now in 12 markets, including South Korea in addition to those mentioned above. Disney Integrates Real-Time Ad Exchange with Amazon DSP

Disney has become the latest entertainment giant to put ad inventory on offer through Amazon DSP, the tech giant’s demand-side platform that connects advertisers to channels for programmatic as well as premium ad purchasing and analytics. The integration, to be implemented in the coming months, links the Disney Real-Time Ad Exchange (DRAX) with Amazon DSP, providing direct access to inventory across platforms including Disney+, ESPN and Hulu along with data insights from both companies. The deal is one of many such alliances announced in proximity to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, where Roku, Netflix and Yahoo also signed up with Amazon DSP. Amazon Teams with Roku for Exclusive CTV Advertising Deal

Amazon Ads has entered into an exclusive deal with Roku that will provide “advertisers access to the largest authenticated CTV footprint in the U.S.” The offering will be powered by Amazon DSP — the company’s omnichannel marketing solution. The integration combines Amazon Fire TV users with Roku’s customers for logged-in reach to what Amazon estimates is 80 million Connected TV households, which equals just over 80 percent of CTV households, according to Comscore data. Addressability will also be enhanced across top streaming services integrated with the two operating systems. The deal was announced during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Amazon Debuts Ad Relevance Cookieless Solution in Cannes

Amazon is launching Ad Relevance, a cookieless consumer tracking solution that will be available to those using Amazon DSP, a tool that lets advertisers buy Internet ad placements on and off Amazon’s website. Ad Relevance “uses the latest in AI technology to analyze billions of browsing, buying, and streaming signals in conjunction with real-time information about the content being viewed” to reveal customer shopping patterns and serve relevant ads across devices, channels, and content types without using third-party cookies.
