TikTok is testing a new tool that aims to help users determine how much AI-generated content they see in their For You feeds. The ByteDance-owned company becomes the first of the giant social media platforms to try putting that control in user hands amidst growing animosity toward “AI slop.” Pinterest added a GenAI user filter in October, while Spotify and Jack Dorsey’s Vine relaunch diVine have implemented system-level filters. TikTok’s AI controls fall within its Manage Topics tool. The platform is also adding more advanced AI labeling technology. WMG Resolves Litigation with Udio in a Big Week for AI Music

Warner Music Group has settled its copyright infringement lawsuit against Udio and will collaborate on development of the startup’s licensed AI music creation service, set to launch in 2026. “Through this collaboration, Udio will develop a next-generation music creation, listening, and discovery platform powered by generative AI models trained on licensed and authorized music,” WMG announced, noting the deal — which includes recorded music and publishing — “creates new revenue streams for artists and songwriters, while ensuring their work remains protected.” The agreement caps a week in which the major labels also pacted with AI streaming startup Klay. Google Making AI Search and Coding Smarter with Gemini 3

Google announced the availability of Gemini 3 for select subscribers, with a broader release planned for the coming weeks. The tech giant’s latest AI model will be available via the Gemini app, AI Mode and AI Overviews search tools, and Google’s enterprise products. The model arrives nearly eight months after the launch of Gemini 2.5 as the company looks to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Anthropic Plans to Invest $50 Billion in AI Data Centers in U.S.

San Francisco-based AI startup Anthropic, founded in 2021, announced plans to invest $50 billion in U.S. computing infrastructure, starting with the creation of data centers with Fluidstack in Texas and New York (with additional plans for future sites). Fluidstack builds and operates high-performance GPU clusters for researchers and AI teams. The new project with Anthropic is expected to create 800 permanent jobs and about 2,400 construction jobs. Sites are scheduled to come online throughout next year. “These facilities are custom built for Anthropic with a focus on maximizing efficiency for our workloads, enabling continued research and development at the frontier,” according to Anthropic. Amazon Music Touts Community with ‘Fan Groups’ Beta Test

Amazon Music announced a new beta feature called “Fan Groups” that enables users to build their own communities for sharing information and opinions about their favorite music genres and artists. The feature, testing now in Canada on iOS and Android, encourages music fans to listen to songs shared within the groups and interact via chat threads and user posts, while driving new music discovery in the process. Artists will also have the ability to join groups, providing an opportunity to share exclusive content and interact directly with their fans. “The new destination transforms music listening into an interactive community for fans without having to leave the app,” explains Amazon. New YouTube Tools Help Creators Optimize Content for TVs

YouTube is launching new features to help creators make the most of exposure on TV screens. “The living room is increasingly the new prime time for creators,” according to YouTube, which claims that “in the last year, the number of YouTube channels earning six figures or more in revenue from TV screens is up by over 45 percent.” To support that momentum, the Google-owned streaming platform is providing creators with “five new ways to make their content look incredible while making it easier for viewers to discover and shop.” YouTube is introducing AI-powered upscaling, improved search functionality, and QR codes to enable shopping for items in tagged videos. Nvidia Talks Up Robotics and AI Megafactory with Samsung

Nvidia has struck a series of deals with South Korea’s tech leaders that will result in more than 250,000 of its chips deployed across that country. Included in the frenzy of activity are Samsung Electronics, which is teaming with Nvidia to build an AI “megafactory” that will use more than 50,000 Nvidia GPUs for an intelligent manufacturing facility that will produce state-of-the-art processors that will be used in mobile devices, and robotics, among other things. Nvidia also has South Korean AI factories in the works with Hyundai and manufacturing conglomerate SK Group. WPP Rolls Out Open Pro AI and Extends Its Deal with Google

London-based global marketing giant WPP has launched WPP Open Pro, a new edition of its flagship AI marketing platform, WPP Open, aimed at attracting “brands of all sizes” and helping them to plan, create and publish campaigns independently. The product stems from the Gemini-powered AI platform WPP built with Google — a relationship that has been extended by five years and includes a $400 million WPP spending commitment. The spend will drive WPP’s mission to expand the use of AI in its services and technologies. “This partnership will empower WPP clients with groundbreaking AI solutions, transforming how they connect with audiences and achieve business goals,” according to WPP. OpenAI Enters Browser Market with Launch of ChatGPT Atlas

OpenAI has launched Atlas, a free web browser that uses ChatGPT as its search engine and integrates with the company’s other products. Initially released for Apple’s macOS, OpenAI says support for Windows, Android and iOS is coming soon. News that OpenAI was developing the product surfaced in April as part of the Google antitrust trial, where OpenAI executive Nick Turley testified the company was interested in buying Chrome. Now the ChatGPT Atlas browser is available for download, challenging Chrome and others. Eyeline: Netflix Is Merging Two VFX Units into a Single Entity

Netflix is consolidating its VFX holdings, merging the internal Eyeline Studios unit it created in 2019 with Scanline, the visual effects house it acquired in 2021 into a new entity called Eyeline. “Merging Scanline VFX and Eyeline Studios under one brand enables us to pioneer new tools, facilitate creative collaboration, and drive the future of filmmaking for the most ambitious storytellers around the world,” Eyeline CEO Jeffrey Shapiro said of the realignment. Eyeline’s initial plans include a focus on areas such as visual effects, virtual production, volumetric capture, generative AI, machine learning and computer vision. Anthropic Adds Prebuilt and Custom Agent ‘Skills’ to Claude

Anthropic has introduced a new general feature called Skills that lets Claude AI access specialized expertise on demand to more efficiently deploy agents in enterprise workflows. “Claude will only access a skill when it’s relevant to the task at hand,” like when working with Excel or following an organization’s brand guidelines, Anthropic explains. Skills are folders that include instructions, scripts and resources that Claude can load as needed. And users can also build their own for use across Claude apps, Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK and the Anthropic API. Visa Intros Agentic Shopping Protocol as AI Shopping Surges

Visa is rolling out a foundational framework for agentic commerce. Called the Trusted Agent Protocol, Visa says it enables secure communication between AI agents and merchants during every step of an agentic AI e-commerce transaction. The launch comes as AI-driven traffic to U.S. retail websites has grown by more than 4,700 percent this past year, Visa says, citing Adobe Research data. Visa is making the protocol, which was developed in concert with Cloudflare, available to others using an “open, ecosystem-wide approach” that aligns with global standards bodies including the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), OpenID Foundation and EMVCo. Oracle Cloud Orders 50,000 New AMD Instinct MI450 AI GPUs

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) will be a launch partner for the first publicly available AI supercluster powered by AMD’s upcoming Instinct MI450 Series GPUs — with an initial order of 50,000 of the chips to be deployed starting in Q3 2026 and expanding in 2027. The resulting Oracle installations will feature Instinct MI450s configured with AMD-designed CPUs in AMD’s new Helios server rack systems, positioned to compete with Nvidia’s Vera Rubin NVL144 CPX racks when both platforms are mass-released next year. Spotify’s Ringer Video Podcasts Will Stream on Netflix in 2026

Netflix will present video podcasts by The Ringer as part of a partnership with Spotify. Content including “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” the movie fan show “The Rewatchables” and true crimecast “Conspiracy Theories” will be part of the lineup, along with The Ringer’s NFL, NBA, Fantasy Football, and F1 auto racing series, joining the Netflix schedule beginning in early 2026. Spotify Head of Podcasts Roman Wasenmüller calls the streaming partnership “a new chapter for podcasting” that will expand discovery, helping creators reach new audiences through Netflix’s global reach. Google Launches No-Code AI Agent Tools for Enterprise Users

Google is launching new subscription AI services that aim to help businesses build agents. Gemini Enterprise starts at a monthly fee of $30 per user for large organizations, while the $21 per person monthly Gemini Business is aimed at smaller clients. Premade Google agents are packaged with the new subscriptions to pave the way for automated software development, data science and customer engagement efforts. Access to agents from Workday and others is also provided, and they can draw on data from Microsoft, Salesforce and Box. The Google launch was announced just a few days after OpenAI revealed that tools from third-party apps can now be accessed in ChatGPT.
